World Rebuilt
As a continuation to Issue 2 (Global Pandemic), The Treaty Examiner is preparing a special Issue for June 2020 and thereby issues a call for articles and commentaries. The central topic of Issue 3 (World Rebuilt) refers to how international law and dispute resolution can assist in rebuilding the world economy and restoring the protection of human rights in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Treaty Examiner welcomes publications from any enthusiast of international law, regardless of background, legal tradition or education, as long as the guidelines for publications are met.
Central Topics
Issue 3 (World Rebuilt) will be composed of articles and commentaries relating to the following issues:
- Redress for the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic
- Human rights protection in the aftermath of restrictive governmental measures
- Promotion of economic development through international law
- New developments in the field of international contract law intended to address the new challenges and risks of world trade
- Any related issue of private and public international law.
The Treaty Examiner also welcomes articles and commentaries relating to the legal effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, including State responsibility, human rights implications and effects on international contracts or arbitration, as well as any other modern issue of international law of recent relevance.
Publication process
Articles and commentaries are published on this site on a rolling basis. At the end of the month, The Treaty Examiner will publish its monthly issue containing all articles and commentaries approved in June. The guidelines, procedure and the terms and conditions of publication can be found here.
To be part of Issue 3, articles and commentaries should be submitted no later than 29 June 2020.
